MENTORING

Mentoring is an ongoing advisement and training program for youth in the realm of the future aspirations.  The focus is on both immediate and long-term endeavors, wherein the participant aims to broaden his / her knowledge and skills for personal, educational, and career development.  At Edwards Mentoring & Social Services, the scope of mentoring not only encourages but also supports young individuals to manage their own learning, so that they may maximize their potential, all while expanding their personal worldview.  A critical component to this program is the broad exposure and informing of participants. This process extends beyond a participant’s identified race, ethnicity, cultural and other socioeconomics related parameters. Participants are typically twelve years old and older.
